Grotesques from the Architectural Ceramics Company, Gladding McBean in Lincoln,
California are throughout. Commissioned for the New York City College, happily, the
extras landed here at the Sackhouse Gardens.
Re-purposed reinforcing steel (from the Cypress Structure of the 880 Freeway) can be
found in gate, door and handrails here. The rebar compliments other urban detritus formed
into barriers and garden follies. Several dimensions combine to form the pathway railings,
light stantions and trellises.
